We can't get enough Amarena cherries, and once you already have one jar open, why not try them in another cocktail? The marguerite was the precursor to the dry martini and dates back to the early 1900's. It's simple recipe (gin, vermouth & bitters) is the perfect foundation for playing with any flavors you have on hand.


Amarena & Grapefruit Marguerite



2 parts Dry Gin

1 part Dry Vermouth

1 part Fresh Grapefruit Juice

1 t Amarena Cherry Syrup

3 Amarena Cherries / skewered / as garnish

Grapefruit Twist / as garnish

Ice / as needed

In a shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, vermouth, grapefruit juice, and cherry syrup. Cover, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with skewered Amarena cherries, and a simple grapefruit twist.
