Beyond Caprese

This time of year tomatoes and basil are both at their peak of the season, tasting & smelling better than ever. Not to mention, available locally almost everywhere. Caprese salad is the first thing that comes to mind for most, but we're taking a twist on that classic.


Tomato Basil Martini



8 oz Gin
2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 sprig Bush Basil / leaves picked
Ice / as needed
For Garnish:
Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes
Wainer Family Farm Bush Basil  & Opal basil leaves
Bamboo skewers



In a shaker filled with ice, shake the gin, vermouth, and basil leaves together until the shaker is frosted on the outside, about 2 minutes.

Strain into chilled martini glasses, and garnish with skewers of heirloom cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
