Housemade Salt & Vinegar Chips

Sid In the Kitchen Salt Vinegar Chips

We enjoy taking classic food favorites and putting our own spin on 'em; here's something we served up recently AND it's party food standard – the Salt & Vinegar Chip. We give this finger food a Sid In the Kitchen upgrade by slicing them super thin, frying until perfectly crisp and finishing off with a hefty dose of our house-made salt & vinegar seasoning.

The best part? You'll never have to buy a bagged chip ever again.

Using a mandolin, thinly slice potatoes.

In a large pot over medium high heat, pour oil to a depth of approx. 3”. Using a frying thermometer, allow oil to reach 375°F.

Working in batches to not overcrowd the pot, fry potatoes, stirring occasionally for approx. 5 min, or until crispy and golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel to drain and repeat with remaining batches until all potatoes are fried.

In a large bowl, toss chips with salt, vinegar powder, and minced parsley to taste. Enjoy!
